Primis mortgage network leading ladies
Last week, Senior mortgage and protection advisor Jade Pinkerton and Administration manager She-rel Edwards from Oportfolio mortgages joined an exclusive group of mortgage and protection professionals at the PRIMIS mortgage network leading ladies’ event in Birmingham. A celebration of the women at the top of their game and leading the way in their field.
Late Wednesday evening, after toiling away to get their client’s mortgage and protection applications through all day, Jade Pinkerton and She-rel Edwards made the journey up from Oportfolio’s offices in Putney, Southwest London to the West Midlands. To the Belfry Hotel & Resort for PRIMIS‘s annual leading ladies’ event. The event is specifically for women within the network who are considered leaders in their field and have shown consistent quality and service to their clients.
Every year PRIMIS Mortgage Network organise an event to recognise and support the top Women in the Mortgage and Protection industry. Our Senior Mortgage Adviser Jade has previously attended these throughout the years, and had the honour of being invited again, but this year we also had a second invitation for another of our incredible ladies in the Oportfolio office, She-rel.
It was a great day, with several talks / presentations on a whole host of different topics that are impacting clients and the economy at the moment. It is always incredibly informative, but more than that, it allows a space for companies and adviser to share issues, experience, and opinions. What works well for some, may not work quite so well for others. The range of people there was huge – from some that a relatively new and are recently setting up on their own, to other larger companies with plenty of advisers and even more admin staff to juggle.
Topics ranged from:
- Office based work vs working from home
- Social media for Finance related businesses
- How best to show up for those that need you
- The importance of reminding clients what they have in place/ their current financial set up, and also highlight what they do not have and their exposure
- ESG
- Charity in the work place
- Looking after individual clients and also their companies (eg offering mortgage clinics or financial advice to employees within client companies, as every company needs to look after their employees as part of their social governance
Lots of fun was had learning, networking, and bonding between member of the PRIMIS mortgage network, and Jade and She-rel had a fantastic time. The evening event was also a great success, and the food was delicious! Oportfolio is a business driven by female professionals and an event like this was an honour to be a part of.
