In setting up Oportfolio our goal was always to create a company that would go above and beyond, producing the highest standards of support and service for our clients looking to buy a home.

Applying for a mortgage can be daunting, especially if you choose to go it alone and do it yourself. Without being an expert you may not really understand the criteria the mortgage provider is lending against and so it’s difficult to present your financial information in a way that gives you the best chance of securing the loan.

The whole application process can be incredibly stressful, not to mention time consuming. Pulling together your pay slips, multiple bank statements, ISAs, proof of deposit – and more besides – to meet the lender’s requirements can be fiddly and generate a lot of back and forth, not to mention the possibility of a rejection if you don’t get it right the first time.

And on top of that, you’ll also have the added burden of having to follow up on your application and check on its progress.

The loan application process is complex; It can be challenging to make sense of the different products, rates, fees, terms available (repayment vs interest only, pros and cons of 10 year fixed term vs 2 year or 5 year, ability to pay off chunks or pay off early without penalty, etc.)

Oportfolio Ltd fees are payable on application. We charge a broker fee for property purchases of £495 and a remortgage/further advance fee of £395. Our product transfer fee is £295.
